The Torreblanca Town Council and FACSA, The company that holds the concession for the drinking water and sewage service in the town is currently immersed in the renewal of the drinking water and sanitation network, a task with which they fulfill their commitment to continuous improvement of the service.
Specifically, the work includes the renovation and expansion of the drinking water and sewage networks in several streets of the town. Among these is the renovation of the sewage network in Loreto Alley, replacing the existing brick sewer line with a 315 mm diameter corrugated polyethylene pipe. This will improve the capacity of the replaced section and prevent blockages caused by the deterioration of the previous pipe. Additionally, at the intersection of Zaragoza and Azorín streets, the existing transverse drain, deteriorated by age and the traffic it endured, has been replaced with a higher-capacity drain with a V-shaped base, ensuring stability and noise reduction.
Regarding the drinking water network, the system has been expanded on Calle La Torre with 110 mm diameter PE100 high-density polyethylene pipe, creating a looped network in the area. This will reduce water service interruptions for residents due to breakdowns. The network is also being renewed and expanded on Calle Juan XXIII, replacing the existing 63 mm PVC pipe with 75 mm diameter PE100 high-density polyethylene pipe. These pipes are ideal for conveying drinking water, are more durable, have low pressure loss and friction, and are corrosion-resistant.
This latest project, in addition to replacing the pipes, will create a network along Juan XXIII, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Azorín, and Zaragoza streets, simultaneously eliminating existing service connections that crossed Juan XXIII Street by splitting the pipe there. It is also worth noting that the service connections to each building located within the sections of the expanded and renovated network will be replaced during the works.
