The Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) has awarded three Gimeno Group companies –Facsa, Fovasa and Giditek - important R&D projects focused on promoting sustainability and the circular economy: CELEBRE, DIFERA and GEODA.
Firstly, Facsa (INNCAD/2022/144), accompanied by Fovasa (INNCAD/2022/159) and Indetec, leads the CELEBRE project which seeks the recovery and valorization of cellulose from urban waste and wastewater for the production of renewable biofuels.
On the other hand, the company will also lead the DIFERA project, which aims to develop a new comprehensive management model with digital support for reclaimed water, boosting its reuse in agriculture and fertigation. On this occasion, Facsa (INNEST/2022/331) will be accompanied by Giditek (INNEST/2022/335), a company that is part of the technological area of Grupo Gimeno, the Universitat Jaume I, the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA) and La Unió de Llauradors i Ramaders.
Finally, Facsa (INNCP1/2022/1) will also be in charge of carrying out the GEODA project, whose objective is the development of a digital twin for biological reactors of WWTPs based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) that allows their real-time control in a precise and more efficient way.
It is worth noting that these three projects are framed respectively within the programs of Consolidation of the Business Value Chain, Strategic Cooperation Projects and Promotion of Innovative Public Procurement (IPP) - action line L1 Promotion of R&D&I projects intended for IPP tenders.
