- The training sessions will begin on May 6th and will allow students to acquire practical knowledge based on the experience of renowned specialists.
The FACSA Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, through its Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction, is offering a new edition of the online course 'Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs): Operation and Management'. This course is primarily aimed at professionals, university graduates, and final-year students who wish to acquire practical knowledge related to the effectiveness and efficiency of WWTP operation.
The sessions will begin on May 6th and, in addition to including theoretical topics, accompanied by explanatory videos with a practical approach, based on the experience and knowledge of the different speakers, during the course the students will also carry out activities with a simulation software.
The course, taught by specialists such as Luis Basiero, chemical engineer, Master in Environmental Engineering and director of the Sanitation and Purification Area of FACSA; Javier Climent, associate professor of the chemical engineering department of the UJI and head of projects at FACSA; the researcher in modeling and simulation in WWTPs of the UJI Rosario Arnau; as well as the chemical engineer Rubén García, Master in Biological and Environmental Engineering and technician of the R&D&I area of FACSA, will allow the students to acquire practical, efficient and effective training on WWTP operation.
The training aims to equip participants to interpret the different process and treatment units of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), to focus on the study of the most significant design and process and operation control criteria, and to raise awareness of the most common operational problems in this type of facility, with the aim of studying possible solutions.
