Tecnoaqua magazine, one of the leading publications in the water sector, has recently published an article written by Francesc Gavara, head of the Integrated Meter Management Department at FACSA, about the research that Gimeno Servicios, in collaboration with the Water Engineering and Technology Group (ITA) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has developed to study the metrological behavior of meters in order to detect possible measurement errors.
Among other advantages, the project has helped reduce commercial losses by minimizing these errors and establishing appropriate measures to achieve optimal loss levels. Furthermore, the project allows for a deeper analysis of aspects such as user water consumption and determining the flow rates and proportions at which total consumption is distributed, both to properly plan demand and to appropriately size meters and distribution networks.
