The FACSA-UJI Chair announces the III Awards for the best Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral theses related to water

The FACSA Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle at Universitat Jaume I has once again announced the Awards for the best Bachelor's Thesis, Master's Thesis and Doctoral Thesis, with the firm objective of encouraging the talent of researchers and recognizing their work within the study of the integrated water cycle.

This initiative seeks to reward the most outstanding work of young researchers over 18 years of age who have defended their final degree project, final master's project or doctoral thesis at a public or private university in Spain during the years 2017 and 2018 and in research areas that are related to water.

The prize money, for which applications will be accepted until February 15, is €300 for the best Bachelor's Thesis, €400 for the best Master's Thesis, and €1,000 for the best Doctoral Dissertation. The winning projects will be published online, and if the jury deems it appropriate, the doctoral dissertation will be published in the UJI Chair's collection.

The jury for the awards is composed of Professor Sergio Chiva, director of the Facsa-UJI Chair; José Guillermo Berlanga, director of the R&D&I area of Grupo Gimeno, and Professors Jorge Rodrigues, from the Masdar Institute of Science & Technology in Abu Dhabi; Teresa Huget Vicent, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Javier Navarro, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

The aim of the FACSA-UJI Chair is to showcase to society the excellent work being carried out at universities and research centers, and the significant effort dedicated to conserving water as an essential resource. Another key objective of the awards is to attract talented future researchers to this field of study, which is fundamental for the sustainable development of society.
