Christmas, along with the period leading up to summer, is the time of year when the least amount of blood is donated and, conversely, when the most donations are needed. Therefore, Facsa has collaborated, for the fifth consecutive year, with the campaign carried out by the Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community.
The traditional meeting, which took place in the outreach classroom of Facsa Located at the company's headquarters in Castelló, the campaign has once again demonstrated the team's strong commitment to solidarity. As they have done since the first campaign, they actively participate in blood donations. Specifically, the final tally was 32 donations and 37 offers, representing a 14% increase in participation compared to the previous year.
It's worth noting that, according to data from the CTS (Blood Transfusion Center), the Valencian Community needs 650 blood donations per day, with 65 needed daily in Castellón. Thanks to this blood drive, the blood reserves of the Valencian Government's Blood Transfusion Center have received the equivalent of 501 TP3T (3,000 units) of the daily needs for the entire province of Castellón.
Therefore, both the company Facsa and the Blood Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community have reiterated their gratitude to the donors for their altruism and solidarity, and have stressed the need to preserve the continuity in the supply of blood units and to maintain social awareness about donation.
