Representatives of the EMALCSA-UDC Chair, made up of the University of A Coruña and the city's Municipal Water Company, held a meeting with members of the FACSA Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI), which took place at the facilities of Grupo Gimeno, a Castellón-based business holding company of which FACSA is a part.

During the meeting, representatives from the Galician chair expressed their interest in the workings and activities of the Castellón joint commission, particularly its research, innovation, knowledge transfer, teaching, and cultural initiatives. Similarly, the A Coruña institution expressed its intention to strengthen ties and establish collaborative relationships in the near future, with the aim of advancing the development of innovative, cultural, and educational activities focused on urban water systems.

Following the meeting, representatives from the EMALCSA-UDC Chair visited the facilities of IoTsens, a company specializing in comprehensive Internet of Things hardware and software solutions developed by ADC Infraestructuras y Sistemas, part of the Gimeno Group. IoTsens collaborates closely with FACSA in applying the latest technologies to the Integrated Water Cycle. After the visit, they went to FACSA's Water Course classroom to learn firsthand about the educational and environmental awareness program about water, developed by the company for young children.

Representing the EMALCSA-UDC Chair at the meetings were Joaquín Suárez, director of the Galician chair, and Ricardo Vázquez, R&D director of EMALCSA. Sergio Chiva, director of the FACSA Chair at the UJI; Guillermo Berlanga, R&D director of Facsa and Grupo Gimeno and co-director of the Chair; and Raúl Martínez, a UJI professor also affiliated with the Chair, led the meeting on behalf of the Castellón Chair.
