Under the title 'Promoting the circular economy in municipal waste management', the Chair FacsaFovasa Environment of Water, Waste and Circular Economy of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), will hold a technical conference on April 29th at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering of the UPV.

The event will begin with a presentation by Jorge Blanco, Director General of Quality and Environmental Education, focused on the new Comprehensive Waste Plan of the Valencian Community (PIRCV).

The meeting will also feature two other presentations on the subject, one by the Foundation for the Circular Economy, which will address a legal perspective, the legal framework, and another by Biovic, a pioneering company in the biogas and biomethane sector, which will explain how anaerobic digestion technology manages to valorize the organic fraction of municipal waste.

The final block will feature two round tables that will bring together professionals from the sector to discuss different strategies to increase source separation and analyze the management of alternative fractions.
