Borriana City Council and FACSA, the company that manages the drinking water supply and sewage services in the town, will begin preventive work on the municipality's network next Monday, May 6, to prevent the possible proliferation of rats and cockroaches both in the town center and its surroundings, especially in anticipation of the hottest months of the year.

Depending on the specific characteristics and needs of each area, the team of specialists from the Grupo Gimeno company will apply treatments that combine different methods, such as spraying or the application of rodenticide baits, in order to increase their effectiveness.

Regarding the duration of the campaign, the tasks will be carried out in the shortest possible time and through intensive sweeps to ensure maximum cleanliness of the different areas to be treated and thus control the reproduction cycle of these animals in public spaces.

These measures complement the recommendations that FACSA and the Borriana City Council provide to residents before beginning rodent control efforts. Specifically, they urge residents to prepare vacant homes and vacant lots, as well as to use household products inside buildings and private water connections to make preventative treatments more effective.

All this information and preventative advice can be found in information leaflets published by Borriana City Council and FACSA, which are available in various municipal buildings throughout the town and have been distributed in areas where these insects tend to proliferate.
