Wastewater reuse project in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar

At Facsa, we champion solutions for wastewater reuse, a key tool in addressing water scarcity. Thanks to the advancements we are making in tertiary treatments, we can optimise the quality of regenerated water, as well as the control and automation of distribution networks. One example is Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. We are supporting the municipality in its commitment to using wastewater as a significant part of the solution to water scarcity. Currently, the plant regenerates 15 % of the incoming water, directing it towards the irrigation of urban and residential gardens, as well as for service water within the treatment plant itself. The goal is for the municipality to be able to reuse 50 % of incoming water by the year 2030.
