The Nules City Council and FACSA They are taking another step in implementing the plan to improve the drinking water supply service in the municipality, following the renovation of a new section of the network on Camí Canal street.
The works, which took five weeks to complete, consisted of replacing 785 meters of drinking water pipe with a 160 mm diameter pipe, 50 mm larger than the previous one, and made of a more resistant material. This new pipe will be connected to the main water supply network for the beach, allowing it to be used as an additional connection for situations requiring higher flow or pressure in the area during periods of peak demand.
In this regard, David García, mayor of Nules, stated that “different actions are carried out every year together with FACSA, As the company responsible for the municipality's drinking water supply service, we are focused on improving and maintaining the facilities serving our community.” These investments, he continued, “are crucial for advancing the water supply improvement plan.”.
Thus, with the renewal of this section of the network, greater efficiency of the municipality's water resources is achieved and an end is put to the continuous anomalies in the water distribution, a situation typical of old installations and which in the case of Camí Canal caused a total of 22 leaks between 2019 and 2020.
