The 10K Facsa Castelló celebrated its eleventh edition yesterday, which was notable for its roster of elite athletes and the large presence of international runners.
The race started at 9:00 AM on Avenida Vila Real, and the first runner crossed the finish line in just over 27 minutes. Ethiopian athlete Tadesse Worku was the first to finish with a spectacular time of 27:02, surpassing the previous course record. Furthermore, world champion Martín Fiz achieved a new Spanish 10K record in the over-60 category, with a time of 33:53.
Facsa has once again stood by this iconic event, reaffirming its support for the world of sports. Furthermore, the company's staff participated in the race, with over 40 employees joining the 10K, embodying some of the company's core values, such as motivation, perseverance, responsibility, and respect.
Patricia Agrasar, head of service at Facsa, along with the mayor of Castelló, Begoña Carrasco, the Castellón City Council's sports councilor, and other representatives of the event's organizing committee, attended the start of the race to join in the tribute and show their solidarity following the tragedy in Valencia. World athletics champions Abel Antón and Martín Fiz also joined in this gesture, standing at the front of the line.
