Replacing the sectioning valves in the drinking water network of La Almunia de Doña Godina and installing three control units on the meters in the town's water supply network sectorization are the two new projects that the town council has awarded to FACSA with the aim of continuing to improve its drinking water service.
For its part, the replacement of the sectioning valves will represent a significant improvement in the management of the municipal water network, resulting in better service and less disruption to subscribers when water cuts are made.
With a total budget of €12,696.74, the work will be fully financed through the Financially Sustainable Investment Plan convened by the Provincial Council of Zaragoza (DPZ).
The second action, concerning the improvement of the remote control system, will allow us to know the uses and distribution of water, making it possible to achieve an improvement in the efficiency of the supply system for a better and greater use of the resource.
The project, whose investment amounts to a total of €10,957.40, will be financed by the La Almunia City Council.
These improvements are in addition to others recently carried out by FACSA in the municipality, including the renewal of the remote control system, which has minimized the continuous failures that had been occurring, and the renewal of 400 meters of the network on Carrera de la Hilera, which has significantly improved service to subscribers in the area and considerably reduced water losses caused by the continuous breakdowns that occurred due to the poor quality and deterioration of the materials of the old network.
