IoTsens, Hydrens and FACSA showcase the technological potential of Waternology at SMAGUA

After two years since the last edition, Smagua 2021 has once again positioned itself as the most important International Water Exhibition in Spain with the celebration of an event in which IoTsens, Hydrens y FACSA They have highlighted their global commitment to technology for the sustainable future of water.

All of these tools are designed according to criteria of cybersecurity, transparency, innovation, and sustainability.

IoTsens, Hydrens, and FACSA recently presented Waternology Smart, the project module that incorporates technologies based on Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Big Data, and geospatial analytics, among others. Its objective is for systems to learn from data, obtaining comprehensive, high-quality information that allows for correlations and predictions, thus enabling efficient and rapid decision-making. Waternology Smart includes technologies for remote meter reading, waste management, optimization of electricity consumption in facilities, and computational fluid simulation.

In this context, IoTsens recently presented its latest innovations in smart meter reading and smart irrigation solutions. Hydrens also took the opportunity to showcase its environmental consulting services, specializing in the hydrodynamic analysis of processes throughout the complete water cycle.

On the other hand, FACSA has participated in the Round Table 'Present and future. ‘Circular Economy Applied to Sludge” was featured at a conference organized by ATEGRUS, the Technical Association for Waste Management and the Environment, held within the framework of SMAGUA 2021. In the session dedicated to the utilization and various applications of wastewater treatment plant sludge, Rubén García, an R&D technician at FACSA, presented the BIOEDARIA project to attendees. This project, funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), aims to transform the conventional sludge treatment process at wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) into a biorefinery capable of generating value-added products for society, such as biopolymers, biogas, and biofertilizers. The project team has collaborated with the AINIA Technology Center and the Valencian Community's Public Entity for Wastewater Treatment (EPSAR), which facilitated the installation of the Bioedaria pilot plant at its facilities.
