Two grants to increase the level of technological advancement and innovative capacity of the workforce

The Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) has awarded two grants for the Promotion of Talent at FACSA. These grants are intended for the recruitment and training of doctoral students on R&D projects within business environments, with the aim of increasing the level of technical expertise and innovative capacity of the workforce. Furthermore, they will facilitate the completion of two doctoral theses linked to two R&D&i projects currently underway at FACSA.

In the case of File INNTAL31/19/008, the doctoral thesis is developed within the project “optimisation of the valorisation of sludge generated in a wastewater treatment plant using hydrodynamic cavitation”. The general objective of the project is the design and optimisation of a hydrodynamic cavitation system using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques that allows for the optimisation of the pre-treatment process for the anaerobic digestion of sludge generated in a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

In the case of File INNTAL31/19/011, the doctoral thesis is developed within the project “New industrial wastewater treatment process of petrochemical origin through anaerobic technology”. The project's main objective is applied research into the development of a novel anaerobic wastewater treatment system, suited to the specific characteristics of the petrochemical industry, which allows adaptation to the operational needs and variations of plants in the sector, in a novel way overcoming the limitations presented by current technologies.
