Castellón, November 28, 2017 – To showcase the latest technologies applied to the integrated management of water and the environment, as well as to highlight the progress being made in companies within the sector through digital transformation, innovation, and research. These are the guiding principles behind the participation of FACSA, SITRA, FOBESA, and FOVASA, four of the companies that make up Gimeno Servicios, in the Ecofira and Efiaqua trade fairs, currently being held at the Feria Valencia facilities.

Two events that bring together the leading firms linked to the water and environmental sectors and which, as explained by the general manager of FACSA, José Claramonte, "allow us to present our main advances both in terms of educational projects and in terms of industry 4.0, initiatives that have allowed us to place ourselves at the forefront in terms of innovation in our field of action.".

Both José Claramonte and the general manager of FOBESA and FOVASA, Juan Pablo Mateo, were in charge of receiving the vice president of the Consell, Mònica Oltra, and the Minister of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development, Elena Cebrián, at the Gimeno Servicios stand. They were interested in the latest innovations and technological developments of the four companies, as well as learning about initiatives such as the educational and environmental awareness program 'The Course of Water', which FACSA directs to schoolchildren.

“In addition to promoting the transmission and exchange of knowledge, these events allow companies, together with the administration, to contribute our experience and the technological developments we have implemented to raise awareness in society about the importance of proper resource management and contribute to the development of the territory,” said Juan Pablo Mateo, CEO of FOBESA and FOVASA.

Scientific dissemination and knowledge exchange

In addition to its exhibition, and as part of its commitment to dissemination and knowledge exchange, FACSA will hold a session this Wednesday, November 29th, in the demo area of the fair. During the session, it will showcase some of its most significant contributions related to innovation, sustainable water management, and the promotion of research in this field. The session, which will be opened by the Director General of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Cooperativism of the Valencian Government, Mr. Francisco Álvarez Molina, will be structured into four thematic blocks and will bring together leading experts and professionals.

Representatives from FACSA and FOBESA will present various success stories at Ecoforum on Thursday, November 30, such as the project launched in the Alicante town of Sax to reuse pruning waste as fertilizer, and the research advances being implemented in Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) to obtain value-added products, such as biogas or bioplastics, from the sludge generated during the purification process.
