• Eight companies in the Group -FACSA, FOBESA, FOVASA MEDIO AMBIENTE, FOVASA MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA, FOVASA SEGURIDAD, IPROMA, INTURCOSA (Intur Hotels) and INTURFOOD (Intur Restauración Colectiva and Eventur)- have special plans to achieve an effective balance in matters such as access to employment, career advancement, remuneration policy or work-life balance, among others.
Grupo Gimeno reaffirms its commitment to genuine equality of opportunity between men and women. Since 2009, the main companies that make up the Castellón-based holding company have progressively implemented all kinds of initiatives in this area, so that today eight of the Group's firms are accredited as gender-equal companies.
Specifically, FACSA, FOBESA, FOVASA MEDIO AMBIENTE, FOVASA MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA, FOVASA SEGURIDAD, IPROMA, INTURCOSA (Intur Hotels), and INTURFOOD (Intur Restauración Colectiva and Eventur) have their own equality plans. This tool, in addition to certifying each company's commitment to developing policies that promote gender parity, aims to promote all types of actions that help mitigate any possible discrimination between men and women.
These plans include specific measures to ensure effective gender balance in areas such as access to employment, promotion, and training; compensation policies; occupational health and safety; and work-life balance, among other aspects. Furthermore, the Group's Human Resources staff receive ongoing training in equality to guarantee that procedures such as recruitment, selection, training, and promotion are also carried out with an equal opportunities approach.
Growth of the 60%
The implementation of Equality Plans in the companies of the Gimeno Group began in January 2009 with the signing of the first commitments in this area by FACSA, FOBESA, and INTURCOSA. These inclusion initiatives were extended to 1,525 employees.
Today, nine years later, these equality policies are already being applied in eight companies – representing a growth of more than 60% – and reach 2,787 people, of whom 58% are men and 42% are women.
In turn, the companies of Grupo Gimeno also regularly collaborate with entities such as the Isonomía Foundation of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón or the Castellón City Council itself to promote the incorporation of women into male-dominated educational fields, such as university technical careers.
