FACSA is reinforcing its commitment to the environment and the education of young children through its educational and awareness project, 'The Watercourse'. This initiative, which began in the 2015-2016 school year, has already reached more than 5,100 people from 55 different centers over the past three years. These centers range from public, private, and charter schools to organizations such as the Pi Gros socio-educational center for minors, managed by the Diafragma Foundation, AFANÍAS, the Penyeta Roja Special Education Center (CEE), the Castell Vell CEE, the La Panderola CEE in Vila-real, and the Little Sisters of the Poor Residence in Castellón, among others.

This year alone, more than 1,600 schoolchildren from 28 schools have participated in this activity, which aims to explain, in a simple and enjoyable way, the complete water cycle and its different phases - collection, distribution, supply, sanitation, purification and reuse - as well as to generate greater awareness among participants about the importance of making more responsible and conscious use of this natural resource.

The initiative, especially aimed at first cycle primary school students, has been a pioneer in the use of innovative educational materials, such as augmented reality or 3D projections, in addition to the development of its own APP, a comic and fun practical experiments, to show attendees how to promote a more rational management of water with the help of five animated characters.

“Having had the opportunity over these three years to contribute to the education and awareness of young people so that, from an early age, they understand the complete water cycle and, in turn, are aware of the importance of using this resource responsibly, is something that fills us with satisfaction,” explained FACSA's CEO, José Claramonte, who also noted that “ultimately, our goal is to promote actions that contribute to gradually producing the necessary behavioral changes to solve one of society's greatest challenges: the rational use of water.”.

The various activities take place in a modern and versatile classroom equipped by the company with the latest technology. In addition, the classroom includes an area set up as an experimental workshop, where students can put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.

In this sense, through this activity, FACSA is committed to promoting greater awareness, especially among new generations, when it comes to promoting actions that contribute to protecting the environment, caring for the surroundings and safeguarding natural resources.
