- The grant from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness is part of the Energy Saving and Efficiency Program in Industry, co-financed by the European Union.
The Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) of the Valencian Government has granted the joint venture Explotación EDAR Peñíscola, of which FACSA is a part, a grant of 24,241.69 euros within the Energy Saving and Efficiency Program in Industry, which will make it possible to optimize the energy efficiency of the Peñíscola Wastewater Treatment Plant, as well as the wastewater pumping stations (EBARs E4IN12/2019/153).
This aims to reduce the energy consumption of the facilities of the wastewater treatment plant in this town in Castellón, whose tender was awarded to the temporary joint venture formed by FACSA and Dragados in 2019 for a period of four years.
With this, IVACE aims to support companies in innovation, promoting their modernization and competitiveness, as well as encouraging savings, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
The project is co-financed by the European Union within the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) Operational Programme of the Valencian Community 2014-2020, a programme aimed at strengthening the economic and social cohesion of the European Union, allocating a significant volume of economic resources to reducing the differences between the Community regions and the lagging behind the least favored ones.
