The Public Infrastructure and Environment Company of Castile and León (SOMACYL) has entrusted FACSA with the renovation and implementation of the new water meter reading system for the municipality of Medina de Rioseco, in Valladolid. This advanced system incorporates radio-based reading technology, thus optimizing the monitoring of water consumption, a key element in water resource management.
Prior to installation, the utility company will conduct an audit of the current state of the meter stock to propose the best solution for each case to the administration. Furthermore, once the metering equipment has been replaced, FACSA will provide the municipality with meter reading software, enabling faster and more efficient meter reading management.
Somacyl, the Valladolid Public Water Company, awarded FACSA the contract for reading water meters for the municipality's water distribution network last year. This town, located northeast of Valladolid, has a population of 4,800 and almost 3,000 water meters.
