FACSA is once again collaborating in a special way with the Magdalena Festival. The Gimeno Servicios company is sponsoring the official 'Magdalena 2018' app, which was presented today at Castellón City Hall. In addition to including nearly 600 events from the official program and those organized by gaiatas, collas, affiliated entities, concert halls, and other groups, the app will allow users to rate each mascletà (firecracker display) from their mobile phones after watching it or vote for their favorite gaiata.
The Councillor for Modernization, Ignasi Garcia, as well as the Councillor for Festivals, Sara Usó, have presented the official App together with Manuel Breva, head of the Drinking Water Service of FACSA, the company sponsoring the App; Sergio López, from Cuatroochenta; and Alberto Navarro, from the Festival Board.
All activities related to the founding celebrations taking place between Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 11th, including those organized by the Festival Committee and the Municipal Festival Board, as well as those programmed by gaiatas (festival groups), collas (groups of friends), concert venues, and other organizations, are listed on this official app. Furthermore, the app will provide real-time updates and will be the only application with notifications of last-minute changes. Councilor Ignasi Garcia highlighted that this app, available for both Android and iOS, “has already been downloaded more than 20,000 times and is a highly effective communication tool with the public.”.
Another element that differentiates this official app, which has all content in Spanish and Valencian, from others is that for the second year in a row, it will allow people to choose the best mascletàs and gaiatas from their mobile devices, in a voting process that will open every day and will be announced through notifications, as Councillor Sara Usó pointed out, who also highlighted the classification of events by categories to facilitate their consultation.
For his part, Manuel Breva highlighted the “satisfaction that FACSA feels in sponsoring this App again, as it brings our founding celebrations closer to the public and allows us to strengthen our connection with the city since, as a company from Castellón, these events are also part of our roots.”.
Alberto Navarro, speaking on behalf of the Junta de Festes, emphasized that "this consolidates the commitment to expanding the program and recognizing the effort made by gaiatas, collas and other groups in Magdalena, so that the events they organize are also reflected.".
Sergio López, representing Cuatroochenta, the company that has been developing this official app since 2011, pointed out that “you can also personalize the schedule by selecting your favorite events, by category or individually, including detailed information on each one. It also allows you to locate all points of interest on the map, such as gaiatas, main collas, or mesones, and where the events on the schedule are taking place, as well as those near your current location.”.
