- The company intends to expand its accreditation this year, certifying for the first time several of its drinking water supply and sanitation facilities in the Balearic Islands.
Various FACSA facilities located in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia have recently passed the follow-up audit of their Energy Management Systems in accordance with the ISO 50001 standard, certified by SGS and accredited by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).
The purpose of implementing this Management System is to establish the systems, mechanisms and processes necessary to continuously improve the energy performance of our organization, including energy efficiency, proper control of energy use and energy consumption management.
Furthermore, ISO 50001 provides the necessary tools to identify the activities that have the most significant use of energy and that represent an "energy and economic leak", as well as to activate a plan of measures to minimize the consumption of its own facilities and systems in an integrated way, while maximizing their efficiency.
FACSA has an integrated management policy that is constantly reviewed, which details our organization's energy commitment at all levels and establishes energy criteria in its processes and decision-making.
Thanks to all of this, the Vila-real Drinking Water Supply Service and the wastewater treatment plants of Amazora, Mazarrón, Puerto Lumbreras, Alhama de Murcia, El Cañarico, Totana, Aledo and Librilla have renewed the certification of their ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
Furthermore, Gimeno Servicios' company - through the CMASS department - also intends to obtain this certification in 2019 in two of the Wastewater Treatment Plants and a Drinking Water Supply Service in the Balearic Islands, thus extending our reach to a new Autonomous Community.
