Facsa's headquarters hosted the official opening ceremony for the 2026 season of The Facsa Playas de Castellón Athletics Club was honored at an event that drew a broad institutional and business representation. During the opening ceremony, Facsa CEO Elena Llopis emphasized the strategic nature of the relationship between the two organizations. “The alliance with the Playas de Castellón Athletics Club is strategic for Facsa. We share values such as effort, perseverance, and excellence, which are fundamental to driving sustainable growth in the Castellón community,” she stated.
During the event, the Club's president, Antonio Escrig, officially announced the renewal of the sponsorship agreement with Facsa. "Facsa is not only our main sponsor, but also a strategic partner that shares our vision of excellence and commitment to Castellón," he stated. Escrig also highlighted some of the major sporting events that the city will host in the coming months, such as the Spanish Winter Throwing Championships, to be held next weekend, and the European Club Championships, scheduled for May.
For her part, the Councilor for Sports of the Castelló City Council, Maica Hurtado, emphasized the importance of collaboration between administrations, companies, and sports organizations to strengthen the city's profile. "Public-private partnerships are fundamental to consolidating Castellón as the Capital of Sport," she stated.
A revamped kit
The event also served to unveil the new kit that the club's athletes will wear in major national and international competitions. In addition, a group of athletes from Facsa Playas de Castellón attended, some established in the elite of European athletics and others from the club's youth system. Among them were Thierry Ndikumwenayo, Milena Mitkova, Daniel Monfort Moreno, Martí Torregrosa Pons, Nicolás Moreno Martínez, Andrea Sales Vallès, Sara Felip Carbonell, Iker Moreno Morata, Anthony Yunier Pérez Valdés, Alex del Peral Fink, Naiara Pérez, Ariadna Montalbán and Laura Alegre.
