FACSA has once again successfully passed the audits to renew the Certification of its Energy Efficiency Management System according to the UNE EN ISO 50001 Standard, both in its Sanitation and Supply Area facilities.
This certificate, valid until January 2021, confirms that the Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) located in the municipalities of Almassora, Mazarrón, Puerto Lumbreras, Alhama de Murcia, El Cañarico, Totana, Aledo and Librilla, as well as the drinking water supply facilities of Vila-real, have systems that guarantee the proper use of energy resources, so that in addition to reducing consumption, they also decrease their costs and minimize the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
With the renewal of this certificate, the company reaffirms its commitment to the continuous improvement of its services. FACSA plans to expand this commitment in the coming months by extending the scope of this accreditation to some of the wastewater treatment plants it manages in the Balearic Islands, thereby increasing the number of centers certified under this standard.
In addition to being a pioneer in obtaining this certification in Spain, FACSA holds five other accreditations that endorse the quality of its management in areas such as R&D&I, Occupational Health and Safety, the Environment, Quality, and Carbon Footprint. These are the UNE 166.002, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14064 standards.
