The Xilxes Town Council and Facsa carried out a new campaign of preventative treatments on the sewage network this week, from March 23 to 26. This work is part of the regular maintenance of the sewer system and aims to anticipate the proliferation of pests, especially in the context of rising temperatures.

The actions have consisted of the inspection and treatment of various manholes distributed throughout the municipality, which allows for focused and effective action on the most sensitive points of the network.

New this year is a two-phase structured plan. The first phase focused on approximately one-third of the sanitation network, prioritizing the most critical areas, while the second phase will address the entire network. This approach allows for more intensive treatment in the most critical zones, which are addressed more than once, thus improving the overall effectiveness of the service.

Both the City Council and Facsa have emphasized that all products used are certified and comply with current regulations, guaranteeing at all times the protection of the environment and the safety of people.

With these types of interventions, both entities reinforce their commitment to public health and the proper functioning of hydraulic infrastructure, contributing to maintaining a safer, cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
