Castellón, April 4, 2017 – FACSA, the Spanish private company with the most experience in the management of the integrated water cycle, reaffirms its commitment to sport in Castellón by sponsoring one of the most emblematic mountain races in the provincial circuit: the Penyagolosa Trails.

The competition, which includes the 65-kilometer Marató i Mitja (MIM) and the 115-kilometer Castelló-Penyagolosa (CSP), will take place on April 22nd and 23rd and will feature nearly 3,000 runners. FACSA will collaborate by providing participants in this race, which is part of the international Ultra-Trail World circuit, with water infrastructure such as showers and restrooms at various points along the route.

The president of FACSA, Enrique Gimeno, and the race director, Tico Cervera, have signed the sponsorship agreement for this event, which has established itself as one of the most important mountain races both within and outside our country and which in 2018 will be the venue for the World Championship.

Enrique Gimeno recalled that support for sport “It has always been one of the fundamental pillars of FACSA's social policy, which throughout its more than 140 years of history has supported different sporting initiatives and the values of respect, effort, fun, tolerance and co-education that they represent.”.

In the case of Castellón, in addition to founding the Fomento Castellón Football Club, Aimed at children and young people between 6 and 13 years old, FACSA has collaborated with established events such as the Marathon and the 10K Ciutat de Castelló, as well as with traditional games competitions such as the Children's World Championship of Boli, whose final was recently held in the Ribalta park of the city.

A calendar of sporting events that is now expanded with the addition of the Penyagolosa Trails and that endorses FACSA's commitment to sustainability and the promotion of a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
