Facsa, A national leader in integrated water cycle management, has inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in Castellón. This symbolic event marks the culmination of its 150th anniversary celebrations, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of its surrounding community.
Located at Avenida Castell Vell nº 35, the headquarters is a prime example of technical and architectural excellence. Designed by the Ramón Pascual architecture studio, built by Gimecons, and with engineering led by PICAD, the building combines functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics. The interior design, by the Summum interior design studio, has been carefully considered to create an environment that inspires the team and reflects the company's values.
This new headquarters, designed under the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, fosters collaboration and synergies among the nearly 300 professionals who already work from there, connected with the rest of the team, more than 1,500 professionals distributed throughout Spain.
The building is also a new hub for the company's clients and partners, and a space open to the community, housing the new control and remote command center, the Vocational Training Workshop and the Educational Classroom, initiatives with which Facsa It contributes to professionalizing the water sector and promoting a water culture among new generations.
Quality and sustainability, the foundations of the new building
The new complex, with 8,600 m² of built space on a 17,000 m² plot, includes offices, workshops, and warehouses, as well as 2,500 m² of green areas that reinforce the company's environmental commitment. The ground floor features a spacious welcome hall and a dining room with a capacity for 80 people.
The first floor houses the Water Supply, Sanitation, Wastewater Treatment, and Bioenergy departments, while the second floor contains the offices of the cross-functional departments and the offices of the President and Director. Furthermore, the spaces are adapted to current work needs and include 15 meeting rooms equipped with advanced technology, telephone booths, and break areas.
The exterior design also reflects a commitment to sustainability. The building's facade optimizes energy efficiency, while the installation of photovoltaic panels allows for the generation of renewable electricity. In addition, it features charging points for electric vehicles, parking for bicycles and scooters, and an eco-park.
One of the most distinctive elements is its decorative interior waterfall, the 'storm tank', which reuses water and symbolizes the integral water cycle, the central focus of Facsa's activity.
An event full of symbolism
The inaugural event, held this Tuesday, brought together more than a hundred people and was attended by key authorities, including the Government Delegate of the Valencian Community, Susana Fabregat; the Mayor of Castellón de la Plana, Begoña Carrasco; the Subdelegate of the Central Government, Antonia García; the President of the Castellón Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina; and the Regional Secretary for Infrastructure and Environment, Javier Sendra.
Enrique Gimeno, president of Facsa, inaugurated the event with words of gratitude to the institutions, clients, shareholders, collaborators, and his team. “This space is much more than a workplace; it reflects a collective effort, the dedication of generations who have shaped Facsa into what it is today. This building symbolizes the beginning of everything that is to come and brings to a close a year of celebrations for our 150th anniversary, a year in which we have felt the support and recognition of society more than ever.”.
Following the speeches, the attendees took a guided tour of the building's facilities, discovering the features of these facilities that reflect the growth and national expansion that the company has experienced in recent years.
The opening of the new headquarters marks not only the end of a year of celebrations for Facsa's 150th anniversary, but also the beginning of a new stage, in which the company hopes to welcome clients and collaborators and continue looking to the future with enthusiasm and commitment.
