FACSA presents its success stories in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation

Webinar Javier Climent Facsa
  • The Grupo Gimeno company participates in the latest webinar organized by the group of specialists Modeling and Integrated Assessment (MIA) of the International Water Association (IWA)

Presenting successful cases of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation applied to wastewater treatment and showcasing best practices for this modeling tool are the main objectives of the webinar organized by the group of specialists. Modeling and Integrated Assessment (MIA) of the International Water Association (IWA), in which Javier Climent, R&D technician at FACSA, will participate tomorrow.

The webinar, aimed at public administrations, technologists, consultants, wastewater treatment plant operators, and drinking water treatment plant designers, as well as academics involved in modeling and simulation software users in general, will be structured in three parts. The first will consist of a brief introduction to the use of CFD tools, while the second will focus on presenting successful case studies that illustrate the added value that CFD simulation brings to decision-making.

Finally, the webinar participants will conduct an explanation of modeling best practices using the recently developed Best Practices Manual by the IWA CFD working group.

The online event, which has been a great success with over 150 registrations, will feature internationally renowned experts in the sector such as Olivier Potier, from the University of Lorraine in France; Ingmar Nopens of the Ghent University from Belgium; Stephen Saunders, from the Ibis Group in the United States; or Ulf Jeppsson from the Lund University from Sweden.
