The FACSA-UJI Chair co-organizes the 1st Conference on Industrial Wastewater held in Castelló

Water management and industrial wastewater discharges were the focus of this morning's First Conference on Industrial Wastewater held in Castelló to mark World Environment Day.

A meeting organized by the FACSA Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle and the BP Chair of Industrial Environment, both of the Universitat Jaume I of Castelló (UJI), whose inauguration was carried out by representatives of FACSA, the UJI and BP Oil Spain.

During the opening, which took place in the auditorium of the Doctoral School and Social Council of the UJI, Jose Claramonte, general director of FACSA, and Sergio Chiva, director of the FACSA – UJI Chair, presented the activity of the entities in relation to the Integrated Water Cycle, making special emphasis on the latest innovations developed.

Also, during the day, representatives of renowned companies and entities - including SITRA and IPROMA, companies of the services division of Grupo Gimeno - have addressed topics such as the application of membrane technology to industrial and urban effluents, the presence of microplastics or the treatment of wastewater and its regeneration.

With this new initiative, the UJI Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle reaffirms its commitment to knowledge transfer, becoming once again a meeting point and quality debate on all topics related to the Integrated Water Cycle.
