Castellón, February 22, 2017 – A team of experts comprised of representatives from FACSA, GENERACIÓN DE AGUA SA, ADEPRO INGENIERIA SL, The Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT), the Water Institute of the University of Granada and URBITAS SL participated today in the first follow-up meeting of the European project LIFE WINDRO (ref. LIFE15 CCM/ES/000040).
This initiative, co-financed by the LIFE program of the European Commission within the Climate Action subprogram, The project aims to develop a pilot water desalination plant using reverse osmosis capable of working independently using only the mechanical energy generated in a wind turbine.
During the meeting, the experts learned about the progress the initiative has made during its first four months of implementation and monitored different technical, economic and administrative aspects related to the project's launch.
