FACSA, a company specializing in integrated water cycle management and part of the Gimeno Group, has today launched the third call for applications for the 'FACSA Scholarships for UJI Students Residing in Castellón de la Plana'. These scholarships aim to support students with their university education, providing up to €1,000 towards tuition fees for undergraduate degrees during the 2018/2019 academic year at Universitat Jaume I.
The terms of the call, which have a budget of 22,000 euros per course and are launched thanks to the collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Social Commitment of the UJI, establish 10 scholarships for students who enroll for the first time in a UJI Degree and the rest for people enrolled in subsequent courses.
The main requirements of the call for applications are to have been registered as a resident of Castelló de la Plana for at least one year, not to hold any other university degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent), and to have passed at least 80% of the credits enrolled in the course. The criteria considered for awarding the scholarship will be academic and financial. Each criterion will account for 50% of a maximum score of 10 points.
The application guidelines, the deadline for which is January 10, 2019, the application form and the additional required documentation, are available on both the FACSA website and the UJI website.
The rector of the UJI, Eva Alcón, and the president of FACSA, Enrique Gimeno, have signed the agreement that allows these scholarships to be offered, whose main purpose is "to support the training of UJI students by contributing to the payment of undergraduate tuition fees for those students from Castellón who may have difficulties paying university fees.".
FACSA and Universitat Jaume I maintain a close relationship of collaboration and mutual enrichment, working together on training internship programs, final degree projects and initiatives such as the FACSA Chair of the Integrated Water Cycle at UJI.
