In its commitment to promoting a more efficient, sustainable, and citizen-centered water management model, Facsa, responsible for the integrated water cycle management in Nules, has collaborated with the town council on the installation of a new refrigerated and filtered public fountain in the Plaza Mayor. This initiative is part of the joint strategy of both entities to encourage the consumption of tap water as a healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly alternative.
The new fountain, which offers free, fresh water 24 hours a day, incorporates a filtration and cooling system that guarantees the highest water quality, as well as an automatic ozone disinfection system that ensures complete hygiene. With a flow rate of two liters per minute, it is designed to facilitate the refilling of reusable bottles or cups, helping to reduce the use of single-use containers and promote more sustainable habits among the population.
The presentation featured Raquel Ginés, Deputy Director of Customer Management and Continuous Improvement at Facsa; Desiderio Román, the company's service manager in Nules; and Adrián Sorribes, Councilor for the Integrated Water Cycle of the Nules City Council. During the presentation, the importance of public-private partnerships was highlighted as a driving force for moving towards a more conscious and sustainable consumption model.
Promoting a water culture in the municipality
The installation of this fountain is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by Facsa and the Nules City Council in recent years to promote water conservation in the municipality. These initiatives include a digital water quality control portal, the opening of a new logistics warehouse to optimize service, the 'Better from the Tap' campaign targeting the hospitality sector, and a children's educational event held in the Plaza Mayor.
