  • ACUAES entrusts the Grupo Gimeno company with the operation and maintenance of the water supply for the Villalón de Campos association and 23 municipalities in the Valladolid region

FACSA continues its promising expansion process, during which it has been awarded a new contract in Valladolid, in partnership with GEOXA. This contract, promoted by ACUAES, the state-owned company Aguas de las Cuencas de España, covers the operation and maintenance of the water supply for the Villalón de Campos consortium, as well as for 23 other municipalities in the region.

The contract—for two years with an option to extend for another two—includes the management and operation of the Villalón de Campos Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) and the bulk water supply (water delivery to municipal reservoirs) to 23 municipalities in the region. This system consists of an intake from the Valderaduey River leading to the DWTP, a settling pond, the DWTP itself, and a pumping system to regulating reservoirs using a pressure group comprised of three pumps.

The system continues in the two Regulating Reservoirs, with a total volume of 2,200 m3 and a network with more than 124 km of pipelines originally designed in three independent branches and two sub-branches within branch number one, in addition to the 25 delivery points which, except for one that is delivered directly to the supply network, are reservoirs of the 24 consumption centers.

With this new contract, the entities guarantee the water supply to the various towns in Valladolid, within the commitment that exists, both on the part of the concessionary company and ACUAES, to continuously improve the quality of service provided to citizens.
