Given the need to advance in improving the efficiency, management and control of water use in supply systems of Aragonese local entities, several municipalities have recently commissioned FACSA to carry out a series of actions, including the municipalities of Jarque, Alfamen, Vera de Moncayo and La Almunia de Doña Godina.
These actions, subsidized by the Aragonese Water Institute through a call for aid, aimed to understand the performance in the use and distribution of water, as well as improve the efficiency of supply systems, reduce energy consumption related to it and facilitate the improvement and control of the quality of the water supply.
Specifically, in Jarque a remote control system was installed to facilitate and optimize the control, evolution and monitoring of the management of the Water Supply Service, improving its efficiency.
Meanwhile, in Alfamen, three flow meters were installed to control the network by sectors, integrating a remote control system in accordance with the current ones that allows evaluating the water balance of the Supply.
Similarly, in Vera de Moncayo, 12 flow meters were installed in different sections of the distribution network and branch lines, as well as in the main distribution reservoir. These meters, equipped with remote reading signals, allow for the evaluation and identification of the sections with the highest percentage of leaks, thus optimizing consumption, which is currently high throughout the municipality.
Finally, in Almunia de Godina, the implementation and expansion of the existing remote control system for the control of flows and volumes of water supplied in various sectors of the distribution network was carried out.
