Guillermo Berlanga, Director of R&D and Continuous Improvement at FACSA, was one of the key figures at the latest breakfast organized by Levante-EMV as part of a series of meetings launched by the newspaper to discuss the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event, held at the Innsomnia facilities—next to the inner harbor of the Port of Valencia—focused on SDG 9, "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.".
During breakfast, Berlanga stated that the imminent arrival of European funds for economic reconstruction and restructuring is “a historic opportunity that we must seize as a society and a country to change the economic model towards a more competitive and productive system.” This is especially true in the current situation, where the importance of innovation has been reinforced, as, he continued, “it is helping us to quickly find solutions to unforeseen situations like the current one.”.
As he has stated, the current efforts of the R&D&I Department are already focused on "helping the company to define new business models, new services and new technologies that contribute to boosting recovery and growth.".
During the meeting, moderated by Julio Monreal, director of the newspaper, Berlanga shared the debate with Gonzalo Belenguer, general manager of Redit; Rafael Navarro, co-founding partner of Innsomnia; Tania Menéndez – head of Digital Transformation at Ribera Salud; Fermín Cerezo – head of Innovation at Las Naves; and Antonio Torregrosa, director of the Valenciaport Foundation.
