Facsa highlights its circular economy water model at the Conecoo Congress

The Elche Congress Centre hosted the II Circular Economy Congress “Conecoo”: Circular Economy in sustainable consumption and production processes. Facsa She participated in the first of the event's round tables, which focused on the circular economy of water and its reuse.  

Rubén García, R&D technician at Facsa, He outlined the main challenges and opportunities presented by water reuse in a circular economy, and what emerging technologies are driving innovation in water management, among other issues, as well as some outstanding examples of successful water reuse projects today.  

In this regard, he stated that the main challenge of the circular economy is to recover useful components within the water, "although for this we have to change the paradigm" and understand that "waste ceases to be the end of the cycle to be considered raw material.". 

In the debate, García was accompanied by the manager of Aigües d'Elx, Javier Prieto and the professor of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, and director of the Doctoral Program in Environment and Sustainability at UMH, José Navarro.  

The objective of this event was to create a platform to advance alliances for the Sustainable Development Goals through various dialogue sessions involving representatives from companies and institutions specializing in the field of sustainable development.
