Carmina Ballester, mayor of Onda, and Enrique Gimeno, president of FACSA, have renewed the collaboration agreement through which both entities are joining forces to combat energy poverty in the municipality. The initiative, launched in 2016, aims to expedite the granting of emergency social assistance to people in vulnerable economic situations due to debts incurred in connection with their drinking water supply. This will ensure water service to all households in the town, especially the most vulnerable.
In this regard, FACSA undertakes to facilitate the payment of municipal aid agreed upon by the Onda City Council, as well as to suspend the water supply cut-off from the moment the communication is received from the technicians of the Municipal Social Services Centers, that the user of the service is subject to aid in this respect.
Continuing with the policy of helping the most needy people in the town, Onda joins the list of municipalities that, in collaboration with FACSA, have launched initiatives to combat energy poverty in the province.
