The Non-Financial Information Statement (NFIS) - a document prepared by companies to transparently present their business model, policies, results, risks and key non-financial indicators - was the central theme of the latest webinar organized by Valencia Plaza and the Chair of Social Responsibility of the Valencian Government at the University of Alicante (UA), in which Pilar Soria, head of CSR at FACSA, was one of the main speakers.
During the meeting, which focused on transparency in sustainable business management and social and business awareness regarding resource exploitation, Soria emphasized that at FACSA, social responsibility "is a latent value integrated into the corporate strategy and reflected in the action plans.".
As he continued, “our business model is based on the circular economy, driven by innovation to improve production through three fundamental pillars: energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint, and valorizing the generation of resources from waste.”.
In this context, Soria highlighted the different research and development projects of innovation carried out by FACSA, such as "the reuse of wastewater for use in agriculture and the recharge of aquifers, the development of wastewater regeneration treatments for use in the ceramic industry or the generation of value-added products for society such as, for example, biogas or biofertilizers.".
The virtual meeting was also attended by the director of the Chair of Social Responsibility of the Valencian Government and Doctor of Law from the UA, Irene Bajo; the communications director of Agliata RSCompany Marc Agliata; and the head of Planning and Non-Financial Information of Iberdrola, Íñigo Olaizola.
