Facsa collaborates with the Hydrogeoday event held in Navajas to highlight the importance of groundwater

Facsa

Facsa participated in Hydrogeoday, a day dedicated to promoting hydrogeology and the hydrogeologist profession, organized by the Spanish Group of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (AIH-GE) throughout Spain to commemorate World Water Day. Specifically, Irene Martínez, Head of Service for the Southern Inland Zone of Facsa, and Belén Sánchez-Rubio, Head of the Water Intakes and Quality Department at the same company, collaborated in organizing this event in Navajas (Castellón).

Thanks to this initiative, the importance of groundwater for the development and well-being of society has been made known through free activities in different locations, and the role that this water plays in a context of global change, both from a climatic and socio-economic point of view, has been highlighted.

In Navajas, the visit focused on the area's groundwater, specifically the springs near the 'El Salto de la Novia' natural area. The more than 80 people of all ages who participated in the tour learned about the value of the groundwater in their town and were also given a commemorative reusable water bottle designed for the occasion.
