FACSA brings 'The Course of Water' to the elderly

Day the course of water residence nursing home castellon web Facsa

As part of its commitment to the Castellón community, FACSA has brought its educational and awareness project, "The Watercourse," to the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home in Castellón. This initiative has allowed the residents to learn about the social work FACSA is doing with children—in this case, their own grandchildren—to promote water conservation.

Pilar Soria, head of the project and CSR coordinator at FACSA, explained to the older students what this activity entails. It was launched during the 2015-2016 school year and has already been attended by more than 5,100 people from 55 different centers over the past three years.

The older children were particularly interested in seeing how, through this initiative, boys and girls learn to become aware of the importance of making more responsible and conscious use of this natural resource, and they valued this work.

Furthermore, during the session, which was particularly participatory, attendees asked various questions about the progress related to the water purification and supply process in the city and shared anecdotes regarding how this resource was managed at the beginning of the last century.
