Facsa presents its response to the new challenges of urban water at DAQUAS

Facsa will arrive at the 38th DAQUAS Congress with one of its most extensive technical presentations to date, at a time when the urban water sector faces crucial challenges such as climate adaptation, digitalization, energy efficiency, infrastructure investment, and new management models. The company will address these challenges from June 3rd to 5th at IFEMA Madrid through a dozen presentations, including lectures, technical papers, and panel discussions.

The event will feature approximately 135 presentations and will bring together leading administrations, operators, companies, and professionals to analyze the technical, regulatory, environmental, and economic challenges shaping the present and future of the urban water cycle. This edition follows the last congress held in Castellón, where Facsa served as the host company, reinforcing its position as an expert in the integrated water cycle with over 150 years of experience.

Tariffs, climate and innovation

Among the speakers, José Claramonte, the company's general manager, stands out. He will participate in the round table 'Efficient Management of Tariffs', a discussion forum focused on one of the main challenges of the sector: moving towards models that allow for a balance of efficiency, equity, investment and economic sustainability in the provision of urban water services.

Also noteworthy is the presentation by Jorge Morales, Director of Business Development, 'Impact of extreme weather on water resources', in which, based on the latest study promoted by Facsa, he will address the need to adapt water management to increasingly complex scenarios, marked by the intensification of droughts, torrential rains and episodes of greater climate variability.

The company's participation will also include technical communications related to the digitalization of the water cycle, infrastructure resilience, innovation applied to facility operation, the circular economy and waste valorization, reflecting Facsa's ability to provide solutions from a comprehensive and cross-cutting perspective of the sector.

Facsa's participation in DAQUAS will allow the sector's debate to incorporate the experience of its teams in areas that are crucial for the future of urban water: efficiency, sustainability, resilience, digitalization and adaptation to new climatic and operational scenarios.
