The Vinaròs City Council and FACSA, as part of their commitment to continuous improvement and quality service to citizens, have started the work that will allow the renewal of the drinking water network in the town.
Currently, the works are being carried out in the area of Pablo Iglesias street in the municipality and include the installation of 375 meters of polyethylene (PE) pipe with a diameter of 90 millimeters and a nominal pressure of 16 bar.
Benjamín Eixarch, FACSA's Head of Service in the area, recalled that this renovation "is part of the annual investment plan that FACSA Aigües de Vinaròs carries out in the town and, in this case, has an annual investment of 120,000 euros.".
In that regard, in addition to renewing the drinking water pipeline system, the improvement project includes the complete replacement of the 56 household connections, as well as the installation of a check valve on the sidewalk.
“These works, in addition to improving the final service provided to users, will also reduce the risk of possible leaks and breakdowns, thus avoiding water waste and increasing the efficiency of the service,” said Guillem Alsina, Councilor for Services of the Vinaròs City Council.
With this action, both the Vinaròs council and FACSA are taking another step towards promoting better conservation of the network of pipes in the town, which will result in a higher quality of service for users.
