From August 3 to 18, 2024, the Asturian city of Gijón hosts the 67th edition of the Asturias International Trade Fair (FIDMA), in which Facsa is playing a leading role, actively participating in the exhibition Asturias Ye Agua. Building a sustainable tomorrow, a comprehensive presentation on the importance of this resource for citizens and economic activities.
The immersive exhibition, promoted by the Government of the Principality of Asturias, invites visitors to learn about the complete water cycle through 27 information panels and screens, 15 models of devices and different games that promote interaction among all visitors.
During the exhibition—which has already been visited by more than 7,500 people—the company specializing in integrated water cycle management offered everyone who came to enjoy the exhibit the opportunity to drink tap water from its unique Watertruck, a small mobile truck with which Facsa demonstrates the benefits of choosing tap water.
However, in order to get one of the reusable cups to drink water from the Watertruck, visitors must first pass a fun quiz with a question related to the content of the exhibition to test their knowledge about water.
The Water Course on the agenda of recreational activities
Furthermore, on August 10th and 11th, the youngest children will have the opportunity to have fun and learn about the workings of the complete water cycle through "The Water Course," an educational and awareness program with which Facsa reinforces its commitment to the environment, innovation, and water culture. In this way, the company is involved with the mission of the Principality of Asturias by promoting responsible and environmentally sustainable water consumption while highlighting the culture of water and the importance of making good use of the resource.
Also, this Wednesday the Facsa team present at the fair received a visit from the President of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón; the Minister of Ecological Transition, Industry and Development and President of the Asturias Water Consortium, Nieves Roqueñí; the Director General of Water, Vanesa Mateo; and the manager of the Asturias Water Consortium, Manuel Gutiérrez, during the official tour of the stands.
