The entities renew the collaboration agreement to expedite the payment of municipal aid and avoid supply cuts
As part of its social commitment, FACSA yesterday renewed its agreement with the Onda City Council, ensuring the water supply to vulnerable families in the town. Through this agreement, the two entities established the terms of collaboration to coordinate and expedite the payment of emergency municipal social assistance to individuals facing severe financial hardship who have incurred debts with the water service, thus preventing any households in the municipality from lacking this essential resource.
In this context, FACSA, the company that holds the concession for the municipality's drinking water supply service, renewed its commitment to avoid suspending the supply - without applying a late fee - once it receives notification from the City Council that the service user is eligible for municipal aid.
For his part, the mayor of Onda, Ximo Huguet, stressed that energy poverty “is one of the City Council’s top priorities” and explained that, “since this agreement came into effect two years ago, multiple water cuts have been avoided in the municipality.”.
Enrique Gimeno, president of FACSA, and Ximo Huguet were in charge of renewing this important agreement against energy poverty.
