- The tasks, which are being carried out for the fifth consecutive year, aim to prevent the proliferation of possible pests and ensure the good conservation of the facilities.
FACSA and the Almassora City Council have launched, for the fifth consecutive year, rodent and insect control work in the town's sewer system. This initiative aims to prevent the potential proliferation of pests in the town center and its surroundings, especially in anticipation of the warmer months.
The Councillor for Public Services of the Almassora City Council, Joan Antoni Trenco, as well as Patricia Agrasar, responsible for operations of FACSA in the municipality, have gone to San Jaime street and adjacent areas to check the progress of the works, which complement the particular treatments that are being implemented at this time in order to guarantee the proper conservation of the facilities, either by hiring specialized companies or by using domestic products, under their responsibility.
The areas where comprehensive sewer system treatments will be carried out these days include Trinidad Street, Pere Cornell Square, España Square, Caridad Street, San Marcos Street, Santa Isabel Square and surrounding areas, San Enrique Street, and Virgen de Gracia Street. The work will be extended to other parts of the town in the coming months.
The disinfection work in the municipality's sewers will be complemented by a special campaign in schools where, in addition to informing users, the treatments will be carried out outside of school hours and, preferably, in coordination with indoor fumigation.
