A total of 75 companies from the water sector, from 16 countries, have presented their most cutting-edge proposals, solutions and services this week at the Innovative Solutions for Water Management Fair (SIGA) held in Madrid, in which FACSA and IPROMA have been present with two of their experts.
For his part, Guillermo Berlanga, director of R&D&I and continuous improvement at FACSA, participated in the technical conference “National and international financing of water R&D&I”, representing the Spanish Association of Water Technology Companies, of which the Grupo Gimeno company is a member.
In this context, in addition to outlining the R&D funding needs faced by companies operating in the sector, Berlanga presented to the attendees the types of investment entities and the areas of R&D that are worked on in the sector and highlighted the work carried out in projects such as Remeb, Sto3re, AQUAlity or Gestor.
On the other hand, José Luís Aranda, head of the Chromatography laboratory at IPROMA, participated in the second edition of the "Detection and Elimination of Emerging Contaminants" conference, with the aim of presenting the study developed by the company on the presence of emerging contaminants in complex environmental matrices.
The overall objective of this second day was to publicize the progress in current legislation, assess the opinion of the Ministries involved (Ecological Transition and Health), see the experience of the operators and show the latest technological developments in detection and treatment, as well as support and promote the dissemination of research work focused on the detection and elimination of emerging contaminants, fostering knowledge and networking between industry and teaching and research activity.
