FACSA and FOBESA showcase their commitment to innovation at the Destaca Fair

Fair highlights WEBS
  • The companies have conducted a simulation of the operation of their innovative Smart Water and Smart Waste systems

With the dual objective of promoting the knowledge society and activating the Valencian economic fabric through innovation, the Centre de Congressos, Fires i Trobades de Vila-real hosted this week the third edition of the Destaca Fair, in which FACSA and FOBESA were present as exhibitors.

This is an opportunity that the companies of Grupo Gimeno have taken advantage of to highlight their strong commitment to research and innovation, a result of their dedication to continuous improvement in the processes developed and the services provided by both companies.

FOBESA, for its part, has placed special emphasis on its evolution toward digitalization in the optimization processes incorporated into its business management and operational model regarding energy efficiency and environmental protection. Specifically, experts from Grupo Gimeno demonstrated the operation of IoT Smart Waste sensors, which alert staff to the fill level of the containers in order to adjust the service to the actual needs of each city.

On the other hand, FACSA has presented its latest technological bets in the areas of water purification, water reuse, process simulation, and IoT, highlighting the simulation of Smart Water, the remote meter reading system implemented by FACSA that collects data remotely and automatically, allowing for faster and more efficient management of the supply network.

Among other advantages, this remote meter reading system, which is already being implemented in Vila-real and Castellón de la Plana, and which will soon be installed in certain neighborhoods of the town of Onda at no additional cost to users, allows users to consult consumption data in real time and detect possible anomalies, which translates into an improvement in the billing process and greater control of consumption by the user.

The event, organized by the Vila-real City Council, the Ciutat de Vila-real Ceramic Innovation Chair and the Universitat Jaume I, was attended by prominent figures from research centers, institutions, companies and universities, including José Benlloch, Mayor of Vila-real; Ximo Puig, President of the Valencian Government; and Joan Carda, Director of the Ciutat de Vila-real Ceramic Innovation Chair.
