Burriana strengthens water supply security after renewing 35% of its network

Facsa

The Burriana City Council, in collaboration with Facsa, has transformed and modernized its water infrastructure to guarantee the highest quality service for its residents. Thanks to a sustained investment strategy, the municipality has renewed 64.8 kilometers of pipes since 2004, which means that the entire local water supply network has already been upgraded with state-of-the-art materials.

This comprehensive transformation has been made possible thanks to close technical collaboration with Facsa, the company managing the service. Facsa's expertise has been crucial in executing an investment exceeding €10 million, providing the engineering solutions and technology necessary to convert an aging network into a high-performance system. The company's operational capacity has enabled Burriana to become a more resilient city, better prepared to face challenges such as drought and increased water demand.

Measurable results and service improvement

The success of this shared management between the city council and Facsa is reflected in record-breaking data: between 2005 and 2025, the municipality reduced the number of breakdowns by 751 and water losses by 761. Furthermore, supply pressure increased by 1,551, improving service stability for residents. These indicators demonstrate that the preventative maintenance and monitoring technology implemented by Facsa are fundamental to the system's efficiency.

Looking ahead, the Burriana City Council and Facsa are already planning new phases of action to complete the modernization of the network, focusing on digitalization and sustainability as pillars to continue improving the quality of life in Burriana.

In this regard, the mayor of Burriana, Jorge Monferrer Daudí, highlighted that “we not only invest in construction, but also in managing a resource as vital as water with the best guarantees and in a professional model that ensures that the supply reaches every home with optimal pressure and quality, minimizing the environmental impact.”.
