- The council and the Grupo Gimeno company continue the work of renewing and improving the drinking water and sewage network of the town
As part of their commitment to providing the best service to the citizens, the Burriana City Council and FACSA – the company that holds the concession for the drinking water supply and sewage management service in the municipality – have recently presented the 2019 Network Renewal Project, which defines the actions for the renewal and improvement of these infrastructures.
Regarding the drinking water supply network, the entities will carry out the comprehensive renovation of more than 300 connections and more than 4,000 meters of pipes, with the main objective of progressively replacing the oldest pipes in the town and thus avoiding possible supply problems.
Similarly, the project includes the installation of a new pump integrated into the pumping group of the Burriana reservoir and the renovation and improvement of ornamental fountains and other infrastructure of the high network such as the bypass of the reservoir from the Plana Consortium Network, the outlet meter of the Burriana reservoir, the connection junction with the Carabona industrial park or the fencing of the plots of wells B5 and B6.
Regarding the sewer system, FACSA will undertake the renovation of 1,200 meters of pipes, as well as other elements such as the connection to the Arenal restrooms and the storm drains and manhole covers. This work will directly improve service for nearly 300 residents of Burriana.
Specifically, work will be carried out on the streets Ave María, Benito Pérez Galdós, Ramón Campos, Sant Ernest, Burga, Forn de la Vila, Sant Teodor, del Salvador, Sant Enric, La Purísima, Monserrat, Sant Leandre, Vinaralls, Baró, Guillem de Vinatea, Almesias, Abel Mus, l'Aigua and Malva-Rosa, on the Grao and Ecce Homo roads and on the Grao road.
