  • The organizations reinforce their environmental commitment by acquiring a 'zero emissions' electric vehicle‘

The Burriana City Council and FACSA, the company that manages the town's drinking water and sewage service, presented this morning the new electric vehicle added to the Municipal Drinking Water Service fleet for meter reading. This acquisition expands the company's fleet of zero-emission vehicles, reaffirming both entities' commitment to the environment, sustainable mobility, and energy efficiency.

The new 'Twizy' vehicle, small and very versatile, has the autonomy, space and capacity necessary to guarantee the provision of services by FACSA in a more agile and sustainable way, thanks to its electric mechanics that will allow a significant reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

The presentation was attended by the Councillor for Services and Public Roads, Vicent Aparisi, and the Councillor for Urban Planning, Bruno Arnandis, who highlighted that “we continue to take steps to ensure that, at the level of public services and throughout the city, work is carried out in the most sustainable way and with increasing respect for the environment, and this zero-emission electric vehicle is the perfect example of the implementation of measures in services such as meter reading.”.
Representing FACSA were Pascual Maximino, Director of the Supply Area; Óscar Peris, Head of the Southern Zone; and Alejandro Boado, Head of Service.

This new initiative, jointly promoted by the Burriana City Council and the company of the services division of Grupo Gimeno, adds to the actions undertaken by both entities in their firm commitment to improve environmental and energy sustainability during the provision of their services to citizens.
